“Visualization is daydreaming with a purpose.”

How much time do you spend setting up the energy of your environment? It is well known that your environment influences your behaviour. You are an energetic being living in an energetic world. You are constantly responding or reacting to your environment.
Why not shift the energy of your environment and set yourself up for success?
Colours, for example, are a fascinating blend of wavelength and electromagnetic radiation. They can have a great impact on an environment, and on you! Jacob Olesen, in his article ‘7 Best Colours For Healing’ says ‘healing colours are the colours that influence mood, calm the nervous system and make the environments less provoking and peace inducing.’ Orange is a great colour for inspiring creativity and red will evoke vitality.
- What colour are you wearing today?
- Why did you make that choice?
- How does it make you feel?
Aromas can also be used to create a positive and productive environment. They can have a powerful impact on cognitive functions. Peppermint is known to increase alertness. Lemongrass will lower anxiety. Lemon is known to improve performance and rosemary has been proven to significantly improve memory. Consciously incorporating smells into your environment can assist your body to optimise the time in that space. How awesome is that!
- What aroma are you conscious of right now?
- Where is it coming from?
- How does it make you feel?
One of my most favourite ways to influence an environment is to use the process of visualisation.
Many office spaces, conference rooms, hotel rooms and hospital rooms, to name a few, have no access to fresh air often relying on air-conditioning to keep the air ‘fresh’. When spaces are unable to access fresh air, energy builds up. If this energy is not cleared it becomes dense, impacting on you and your ability to function at your optimum whether you are conscious of it or not. The great news is, you have the ability to shift the energy to support a successful outcome.
For me, the process of visualisation simply means using your imagination, and we’ve all got one of those! Did you know that your thoughts have the powerful ability to create your reality? Dr Bruce Lipton was instrumental in shining a light on the power of your thoughts. In his book ‘The Biology of Belief’, he wrote about our DNA being controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts. He showed a link link between mind and matter, and the effects it has on us and our lives.
If you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right

Visualising connects you to your creativity ability within your mind. To clear the energy in a room, shut your eyes and ‘see’ the space flooded with brilliant white light. White light transmutes any dense, negative energy into positive energy. I have found that this quick process can lighten the mood of a room and get energy flowing.
When preparing for a task, visualise how you would like the environment to feel to ensure the outcome you desire. Whether you’re about to go on stage, walk into an interview, catchup with a friend in a cafe, undergo surgery, go house hunting, there is power in preparing the environment ahead of time. You have the power to set yourself up for success.
Believe it … do it … and you will have it.
